This Privacy policy explains what personal information Paluwagan collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose. We aim to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines.
1. The short version
We collect only what we need to run your savings circle and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal data. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information.
2. Information we collect
- You give us: your name, email or phone number, and the circle details you enter (amounts, schedule, members, payout order).
- You record in the app: confirmations that a contribution was paid or received. Remember, we do not process the payment itself.
- Collected automatically: basic device and usage information needed to keep the Service secure and working.
3. How we use your information
- To set up and run your circles and show a shared, accurate history to members.
- To send you important notices, such as reminders and updates about your circle.
- To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing
Information within a circle (such as who has paid and whose turn is next) is visible to the members of that circle, by design. Beyond that, we do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required for legitimate business or legal reasons.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, and to access, correct, object to processing, and request deletion of your personal data, among others. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your account credentials and tell us if something looks wrong.
8. Children
The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let you know through the app or by email.
